August 9 marked the first year that Mohsen Hojaji was martyred by Daesh in Syria. A large number of people across Iran gathered at Najaf-Abad’s Martyrs Cemetery to mark the memory of this national hero.

The name of Hojaji has become synonymous with bravery and struggle against savage terrorism. Hojaji, a symbol of sacrifice, was brutally beheaded by Daesh militants. Leader of the Islamic Revolution had said Hojaji is an “evidence of numerous young people" willing to fight for Islam.
